Rules for
In the Holy Hadith, it has been narrated from the Holy
Prophet (peace be upon him) that whoever has the power to offer sacrifice but
does not offer it, he should not come to my Eidgah. (Ibn Majah, Ha 3123)
It is clear from this hadith that it is the only obligation or duty of a Muslim to sacrifice himself for men and women.
Giver of Sacrifice It is obligatory to offer Qurbani to an adult male and female of the family (if he becomes a Saheb Nasab) from sunrise on the tenth day of Zilhaj to the moment before sunset on the 12th of Zilhaj. Moreover, if sacrifices can be made on behalf of all members of the family, that is, on behalf of each member, there will be many riders.
After the Eid-ul-Azha prayer, the following doa should be recited and the sacrificial animal should be slaughtered. When slaughtering an animal, with the head to the south, west or to the cable, the slaughter of the animal with a knife or sharp weapon on the neck will be completed as soon as possible so that the sacrificed animal suffers less. It is makrooh to steal a bhota or sacrifice it with a weapon. And it is mustahab to kill one's own sacrificial animal. If defeat by one's own forces is not possible, then defeat by others. In this case, it is better to be in front of the sacrificer at the time of defeat. Rules and prayers for slaughtering sacrificial animals are emphasized-
The
method of slaughter
Placing an animal facing the Qibla when slaughtered. Then the slaughter as Bismillahi Allahu Akbar. Slaughtered animals will be considered haraam if they intentionally refrain from saying Bismillah. And if you leave the Bismillah by mistake, it is permissible to eat it.
When slaughtering, it is necessary to cut the throat, esophagus and two veins on both sides, i.e. four veins in total. If at least three ribs are cut, the victim will be clean. But if two veins are cut, the victim will not be safe. (hidaya)
When slaughtering, we sharpen the knife well so that the animal does not suffer unnecessarily during slaughter. For example, start the slaughter with a knife, after cutting the skin do not cut again, then change the knife again and slaughter, etc.
The person helps the killer to lower the knife in slaughter but also to say Bismillahi Allahu Akbar.
Blessings Of Sacrificial Animal of Qurbani
Pronunciation: Inni wajjhahtu wajhiya
lillaji fataras samawati wal arda hanifao wa ma ana minal mushrikin. Inna
salati wa nusuki wa mahiya wa mamati lillahi rabbil alamin. La sharika lahu wa
b-jalika umirtu wa ana minal muslimin. Allahumma minka wa laka.
Meaning: Surely I am firmly directed towards the great
Being who created the heavens and the earth. I do not belong to the
polytheists. Surely my prayers, my sacrifices, my life and my death are all
dedicated to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. He has no partner. I have been
ordered to do this. And I am one of those who surrender. O Allah! From you, for
you. (Abu Dawood, H. 2795)
Note: When slaughtering a sacrificial animal, it is
not necessary to make the intention (in a loud voice). Of course, the intention
in my mind is that I am sacrificing for the sake of Allah. However, it is
better to recite blessings on the face. To recite the above prayer after laying
the sacrificial animal towards the Qibla.
Then slaughter the sacrificial animal saying
‘Bismillahi Allahu Akbar’. Recite this prayer after slaughtering the
sacrificial animal-
اللهم تقبله منى كما تقبلت من حبيبك محمد وخليلك إبراهيم عليهم الصلاة والسلام.
Pronunciation: Allahumma takabbalhu minni
kama takabbalta min habibika muhammadio wa khalilika ibrahima alaihimas salata
was salam.
Meaning: O Allah! Accept this sacrifice, just as you
accepted it on behalf of your beloved Muhammad (peace be upon him) and your
friend Ibrahim (peace be upon him).
It is noteworthy that if one's (sacrificial) offering, then his minni should be said. And if it is the sacrifice of another, after pronouncing the word min instead of the word "minni" the name of the person or his qurbani should be mentioned. And if the sacrificial partner is with someone else, he also says his minni, then say the names of the partners min.
It should be noted that even if the animal is slaughtered only after the recitation of "Bismillahi Wallahu Akbar", the sacrifice becomes valid. (Abu Dawood, H. 2610)
Because intention is related to the heart. But of course, every sacrificer should learn the above prayers. Because reciting the above prayers and making Qurbani is part of the Sunnah.
