Description of Jumu'ah Prayer
Introduction: Jumu'ah means the aggregate day of the week or the day of
gathering. Since everyone gathers on this day, it is called Jumu'ah prayer.
Instead of the Zuhr prayer on Friday, the prayer that everyone has to perform
together with the Jamaat in the mahalla mosque is called the Friday prayer.
Time: The time of Zuhr
prayer is the same time as Jumu'ah prayer. Naming: There are many reasons for
naming this day Jumua. E.g.-
1. In the book, it is
narrated from Hadrat Abdullah Ibn Abbas in Ain that this day is called Jumu'ah
because he gathered all the materials for the creation of Adam (AS).
2. Khozayma (R) narrates
from Salman Farsi (R), the Prophet (SAW) said, Adam and Eve (AS) came together
on this day.
3. Ibn Hazam (R) said
that it is called Jumu'ah because people gather on this day.
The significance of Friday prayers
Allama Shaykh Alauddin
(R) said that the reason and significance of introducing Jumu'ah prayer is that
it is difficult for all Muslims to gather in the same place at the same time
every day. Therefore, it is necessary to set a time so that everyone can gather
at a certain place. That is why a special day of the week has been chosen so
that everyone can come together. This is the significance of introducing Friday
prayers.

beloved act of worship to Almighty Allah. That is why the most urgent prayer
