Virtues of Eid prayers
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) migrated to Madinah and saw that in Madinah, under the influence of the Persians, the 'Nowruz festival' was celebrated on the full moon of autumn and the 'Meherjan festival' on the full moon of spring. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) instructed the Muslims to refrain from participating in these two foreign festivals as they were contrary to Islamic customs and introduced the two festivals of Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-ul-Azha.
No work of Islam is meaningless and its reward is not zero. That is why Muslims, along with the celebration, also attain infinite virtue through such acts of worship. Islam is the name of complete surrender to the great court of Allah Ta'ala. And his 'Tauhid' or recognition of oneness is the essence of Islam. Allah Ta'ala is omnipotent and everlasting in the belief of the believer. Sincere belief in this subject,
Faith is perfected by the combination of the three elements of verbal recognition and its practical application. Only by faith or verbal recognition can one become a true believer or a true Muslim. By fasting for a long month, Muslims take recognition and practical proof of their faith. At the same time, it gives the identity of God-love, piety, restraint and devotion. Thus, on the day of Eid, the victory of faith and devotion of Muslim life is declared.
The virtues of Eid day and Eid night are infinite. The night of Eid-ul-Fitr is one of the five nights in which the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said that prayers should be accepted.
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Every nation has a happy day, and our happiest day is the day of Eid al-Fitr." (Bukhari and Muslim)
Another hadith says, "Whoever spends the night of the two Eids awake in worship for the sake of gaining Allah's pleasure and goodness, his heart will not die on the day when all hearts will be dead." (That is, when everyone is terrified and anxious to see the horrors of the Resurrection, then that person will spend time in complete fearlessness.) (Ibn Majah, Targhib)
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) also said, 'When the day of Eid al-Fitr arrives, Allah gives glory to the angels for the Muslim fast. He asks the angels, O angels! If someone is given the responsibility of a task, if he performs it fully, then what kind of reward should be given to him? The angels said, "He should be paid in full for it.
Then Allah says (interpretation of the meaning): Then when the Muslims go to the Eidgah in groups to pray. Then Allah Ta'ala said, “I swear by my honor, I swear by my splendor and majesty! I will certainly accept their prayers. "
Then he called for the servants and said, O my
servants! I have forgiven you and turned your sins into good deeds, so return
to your homes. ' Then they return to their homes in a state of innocence and
with great virtue.
Eid-ul-Azha
Virtues of Eid-ul-Azha
Eid-ul-Azha is celebrated on the 10th of the month of Zilhaj according to the provisions of the Shari'ah. On this day it is obligatory for everyone to perform two rak'at prayers with the congregation. The time and rules of this prayer are the same as Eid-ul-Fitr.
There is a slight difference between Eid-ul-Azha and Eid-ul-Fitr. E.g.-
1. It is better to eat some sweets before going to Eid prayers on the day of Eid-ul-Fitr but it is better not to eat anything before Eid prayers during Eid-ul-Azha.
2. On the day of Eid-ul-Fitr, it is better to recite Takbeer Tashreeq slowly and on the day of Eid-ul-Azha it is better to recite it in a few words.
3. It is better to recite Tashreeq in Takbeer only for 7 days during Eid-ul-Fitr, but it is obligatory for all men and women to recite it from the day before Eid-ul-Azha, that is, after the Fajr prayer on the ninth day of the month of Jbilhajj to the Asr prayer on the thirteenth day.
4. If the Eid-ul-Azhar prayer is not performed on the
10th for any reason, it is permissible to perform it on the 11th or 12th. But
in the case of Eid-ul-Fitr, there is no such long time limit.
