Importance of keeping deposits and promises in islam

Importance of keeping deposits and pledges

One of the unique qualities of Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) is his truthfulness and faithfulness. For this reason, the infidels, polytheists also call him 'Al Amin' or 'The Believer'. Trustworthiness is a unique feature.

A depositor is appreciated in all societies. Allah presented the true believers and said, 'They (believers) are the people who pay attention to their trusts and keep their pledges.'' (Sura-4 An-Nisa, verse: 58)

At the beginning of creation, Allah offered the heavens, the earth, the mountains and the people to entrust His trust. We presented this deposit to the sky, the earth and the mountains. Then they refused to carry it and were worried, but the people carried it. In fact, he is extremely cruel and ignorant. (Sura-33 Azabab, verse: 72)

This deposit extends to all areas of life. Worshiping with sincerity in personal life and obeying Allah's commandments and abstaining from prohibitions, obeying Halaal and Haram, following Allah's rules in dealings, behavior, and work—all these are different parts of Amanadari. It is important to protect the depositors of personal life, family life, social life, political and economic life. The sign of the hypocrites is not to protect the deposit. The Messenger of Allah, may God bless him and grant him peace, said that there are three signs of the hypocrites:

1. Lying,

2. Broke promises,

3. And deposits betray. (Bukhari: 32)

The beloved Messenger of Allah, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, "Whoever has these four characteristics is a true hypocrite." And whoever has a sign of the hypocrites in him, the sign of the hypocrite remains in him until he abandons it.

1. Lying,

2. Broke promises,

3. He cheated the deposit

4. Speaks obscenities during quarrels. (Bukhari: 33)

The Messenger of Allah, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, "You collect the deposit from the one who has deposited with you. And do not betray him who betrayed you. (Abu Dawud: 3535, Tirmidhi: 1264) Allah Almighty says, 'You fulfill your pledge, surely you will be asked about your pledge (on the Day of Resurrection)' (Surah-17). Bani Israel, verse: 34)

Seven Qualities of Successful Believers - 'Those who keep their trusts and pledges.' (Surah-23 The Believers, Verse: 8, Surah 70 Mayarij, Verse: 32),

"Allah said, Give the deposits to their rightful owners." (Surah Nisa 4, verse 58)

"And do not plead for the betrayer." (Sura-4 Nisa, verse: 105)

Iman is damaged by deposit betrayal. There is Ershad in the Holy Quran, 'O believers! Do not betray Allah and His Messenger. And do not betray your deposits, while you know.' (Sura-8 Anfal, verse: 27)

All the blessings that God has given us are a deposit for us. They must be guarded, otherwise they will not be held accountable in the Hereafter. For example: life, youth, eyes, ears, speech, hands and feet etc. The wealth that Allah has given must be spent on the welfare of people in the way of religion. Otherwise, it will be considered as treason. Ershad Al-Qur'an states, 'Those who guard their trusts and promises, and those who are diligent in prayer, these are the inheritors of Paradise. They will be there forever. (Sura-23 The Believers, Verses: 8-11)

The Prophet (PBUH) said, "A truthful and trustworthy merchant will be with the Prophets, the Siddiqs, the Martyrs and the Righteous in the Hereafter." (Tirmidhi: 3/1209)
