Rules for urinating

Urine-toilet details

Purification of urine from the toilet is called istanja. Every human being is compelled to do so by the force of nature. However, since man is the best creature of creation, he has to follow certain manners. They have to show the best example of civilization. It is not possible for them to behave like other animals. The best man in creation can't do that, like a dog can stand and urinate. If so, what is the difference between a dog and a human? As a human being he has to follow certain rules and regulations.

Blessings before entering the urine

It is better for a person to recite the following prayer without entering the urine-

اللهم إني أعوذبك من الخبث والخبائث

Pronunciation: Allahumma inni aujubika minal khubsi wal khabayesi. Meaning: O Allah! I seek refuge in You from the abominable and unclean Dud Satan.

Blessing to come out of the urinal

When you come out of the urinal, you should say-

الحمد لله الذي أذهب عنى الأذى وعافاني

Pronunciation: Alhamdu lillahillazi amlil aza wa afani

Meaning: All praise is due to the great being who has removed all my troubles and given me peace.

Prohibited place for urination

You can't urinate wherever you want. There are some places where it is forbidden to urinate. For example, in front of a mosque or Eidgah, in the place of ablution bath, in graveyard, under fruit trees, on the way of people crossing, under those shady trees where people sit and rest, in flowing water, in fields, in closed ponds, rats, snakes or ants.

Rules for urinating

When a person urinates, he will be blessed to enter the toilet and will do his necessary work. After urinating, use a loose latch. Because, it is sunnat to use kulukh. Holiness is achieved in many cases only through kulukh. For example, if the stool is dry and hard and does not stick to the mouth of the cave, then it will be cleansed only by the stool. But if the stool is on all four sides and the amount of stool is less than one dirham then it is obligatory to wash it with water. And after pouring water, he will defecate with his left hand.
