Blessings of sacrificial animal slaughter

Meaning: Surely, I am firmly directed towards the great Being who created the heavens and the earth. I do not belong to the polytheists. Surely my prayers, my sacrifices, my life and my death are all dedicated to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. He has no partner. I have been ordered to do this. And I am one of those who surrender. O Allah! From you, for you. (Abu Dawood, H. 2795)

Note: When slaughtering a sacrificial animal, it is not necessary to make the intention (in a loud voice). Of course, the intention in my mind is that I am sacrificing for the sake of Allah. However, it is better to recite blessings on the face. To recite the above prayer after laying the sacrificial animal towards the Qibla.

Then slaughter the sacrificial animal saying ‘Bismillahi Allahu Akbar’. Recite this prayer after slaughtering the sacrificial animal-

اللهم تقبله منى كما تقبلت من حبيبك محمد وخليلك إبراهيم عليهم الصلاة والسلام.

Pronunciation: Allahumma takabbalhu minni kama takabbalta min habibika muhammadio wa khalilika ibrahima alaihimas salata was salam.

Meaning: O Allah! Accept this sacrifice, just as you accepted it on behalf of your beloved Muhammad (peace be upon him) and your friend Ibrahim (peace be upon him).

It is noteworthy that if one's (sacrificial) sacrifice, then his minni should be said. And if it is the sacrifice of another, after saying the word min instead of the word ‘minni’, the name of the person or their qurbani should be mentioned. And if the sacrificer is a partner with another, then his minni will also say, then the names of the partners should be said min.

It is to be noted that even if the animal is slaughtered only after reciting 'Bismillahi Wallahu Akbar', the sacrifice becomes valid. (Abu Dawood, H. 2610)

Because intention is related to the heart. But of course, every sacrificer should learn the above prayers. Because reciting the above prayers and making Qurbani is included in the Sunnah.
